Something’s Brewing at Tynemouth Coffee ☕

We’ve got some exciting news. With support from our new partners at Stonebanks Investments, we’re opening a brand-new roastery and tasting space at the historic Exchange 1856 in North Shields.

This marks a big step forward for us. Since 2009 we’ve been roasting small batches of coffee in the North East with one simple goal: to make great coffee accessible to everyone. Now we’re taking things to the next level.

A Roastery You Can Visit

Our new space at The Exchange won’t just be about roasting beans. We’ll be opening the doors and inviting you in to:

  • Taste new single origins and blends

  • Explore the roasting process up close

  • Join workshops and learn more about brewing and barista skills

  • Try fresh coffees roasted on site

It’s coffee, but with a whole new experience wrapped around it.

Elevating How We Work

Stonebanks are also helping us introduce Elevate Culture, a training and onboarding platform that will make our team even sharper. For us, that means quicker training, stronger consistency and safer practices in the roastery. For our commercial customers, it means confidence that every bag of Tynemouth Coffee is roasted and packed by a team working to the highest standards.

Looking Ahead

We’ll be announcing our opening event soon, complete with tasting tables, freshly roasted coffee and a chance to see our new home for yourself.

A huge thank you goes out to our loyal customers, our wholesale partners and now Stonebanks Investments, who share our vision of keeping things independent, sustainable and rooted in the North East.

We can’t wait to welcome you in. Here’s to the next chapter of Tynemouth Coffee.
