With over 16 years of experience in the coffee industry, Tynemouth Coffee Co. has grown from a small roastery on the North East coast into a trusted partner for over 300 wholesale clients and thousands of home brewers across the UK and beyond. We offer a full-spectrum coffee solution — from high-volume blends to micro-lot specialties — all roasted with precision, consistency, and intent.
Now we’re taking things a step further. We’ve launched a new roasting facility dedicated to specialty single origin coffees and seasonal micro-batches, designed to push quality even further and celebrate origin, process, and flavour at a deeper level.

Paul Thompson founded Tynemouth Coffee in 2009, bringing over 30 years of experience in the coffee industry to the coast. His vision was simple: deliver exceptional coffee and unmatched service to every kind of customer—from casual home brewers to full-scale hospitality venues.
Paul’s hands-on approach and industry knowledge have shaped us into more than just a roastery. Under his leadership, we’ve become a trusted partner for anyone who wants to serve or enjoy coffee at its best.
