Bean to Cup Masterclass at The Roastery

£20 per person including coffee and pastry of your choice.

These masterclasses are a great way to get the most from your coffee. Ideal for groups or friends or a workplace team bonding session.

Here is what you'll learn on this masterclass...

1. Introduction

Brief explanation of who we are and what are we trying to achieve.

Our goal to achieve is to educate and supply whether you are a business who wants to venture into specialty coffee or an individual looking forward to brew your own at home.


Timeframe 10-15 minutes including students introducing themselves

2. Sample Roasting

Quick roasting session of 50 grams coffee explaining how the beans transform from green coffee beans to roasted beans.

Showing the roasting coffee process in a small scale, explaining events from green coffee beans to drying phase, maillard reaction and development phase


Timeframe 10-15 minutes

3. Coffee Cupping

Tasting the coffee how coffee professionals do.

Explain how coffee professionals quality check each roasted coffee and list down the steps in doing it and answer the question why do it in a certain way


Timeframe 15-20 minutes

4. Brewing (V60/Aeropress/Clever Dripper)

Trying and tasting different brewing techniques and their differences in acidity, body, and sweetness

Explain why different brewing techniques results to difference in acidity, body, and sweetness of a coffee.


Timeframe 20-30 minutes

5. Conclusion

Students may share their experience and clarify questions if there is.

Students can express if they are satisfi ed with the experience and give feedback on what we can improve on. Finish the session with a cup of coffee partnered with a pastry from the Lounge.
